Special Instructions After Hair Transplant Surgery



1-You will need to avoid direct sunlight or cold for three weeks. In case you need to wear any hat or cap, it must NOT be tight and must be loose and wide that does not come in direct touch with the grafted portion of your.

2-Avoid alcohol for one week after the procedure.

3-It is normal to bleed slightly overnight during the first days after the procedure.

4-Contact us if you develop any of the following:

  • Fever (higher than 380C)
  • Pain not relieved with ordered pain medication
  • Sever redness at the grafted site or donor area
  • Unexpected swelling
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Persistent nausea and vomiting or any other

5-Avoid any intimate intercourse (or ejaculation) for 7 – 10 days after the procedure.

What to Expect:

Two to Four Months: you may start to see some growth. Itching in the recipient area or discomfort in the donor area may still be present.

Four to Six Months: you should now start to see your new growth coming in; it represents 20% of the anticipated growth.

Six to Eight Months: a significant change usually happens as by the 8th month, approximately 80% of the hair should have penetrated the skin; but still will only have achieved about 50% to 60% of the final visual aesthetic effect.

Eight to Twelve Months: the final aesthetic effect is usually achieved up to one full year after the procedure. The hair must have this amount of time to re-grow.
